I decided to take a risk and order a dress from China from Ebay It was £90 so I though it was worth the risk and if it was crap at least it hadn't blown the budget. Anyway fast forward to today and its arrived. Gutted! It's crap! The quality of the actual dress is really good, but the details is nothing like the pictures and the beading is really sparse and nasty.

Argh! I really didn't want to have to spend hundreds on a dress that I was only going to wear for 12 hours.

I just thought I would let you all know as when I was looking into it I didn't find any negative comments only really positive so thought I would give it ago.

What a disappointment that must have been for you. There's many items I have brought from the internet for my wedding, but I couldn't get a wedding dress online. Can you use the material or have it altered to be more like you wanted it to be rather than start again from scratch? Hope you have plenty of time to get it sorted out.

Oh what a shame =( Like Sarah said, can you take it to a dress maker and have it improved?

If you can't make a dream dress out of the material perhaps you can use it for something else????

I purchased a tiara from eBay for less than 10 quid and then went on to buy some flower girls dresses from the sellers actual website. I must admit that sometimes buying cheaper items online vs a physical shop can have nasty pitfalls - although on this occasion I was really pleased with the what I received.

The problem with China is the fact that returning the product will cost you an arm and a leg.

According to me Ebay is best place to buy wedding dress.You can pick up a designer wedding dress for around $200.The dresses have only usually only been worn once and are excellent condition.

Hi I bought my dress from china and when it came i was really pleased with it, I had to have some alterations done on it but you generally you do with any wedding dress anyway.I think It was worth it because I was able to spend the money I saved on our Honeymoon in Mauritius. Having said that It is really hard to order the most important dress of your life over the internet but maybe I was one of the lucky ones. Hope you get it sorted out, good luck

I would rather pay more and have the wonderful experience of going round and trying dresses on and knowing that I am buying a quality product. Way too many things can go wrong ordering from overseas.

I bought my wedding from China and I was really pleased with it. We got married in Mauritius in May and the dress travelled well and when pressed came up lovely, I felt like a princess.

I did have to have it altered but I think most wedding dresses need some sort of alteration.

Hi, We stayed in the Le Mauricia and it was a little piece of paradise... The weather was perfect for the whole two weeks 25-30o, hardly any rain, the people were amazing and so so friendly and couldnt do enough for us we were treated like royalty.
We stayed all inclusive and the food was really good, so much choice, we could not of asked for more.

From our hotel we could walk into Grande Bay, there are shops,places to eat,banks,supermarkets,markets and lots more thigs to see. We didn,t go on any trips as we were on honeymoon but there is loads to do and see.
We had the best time.

Sounds divine! I really fancy it. Do you get much hassle from people trying to sell you things out and about?

Hi Fiesta, There were people selling things on the beach but when you say no that is the the end of it. The people have lovely manners and are very polite. hope you get to go im sure you will not regret it.

You must not generalized the dresses from China. First of all, it's your fault because you did not ask specifically the details of the dress before you ordered it. You did not confirm the condition of the dress before buying it so now, you have personally checked the dress, you're disappointed. There are also other online dress shop that has good reputation such as GoodOrient. My sister who is already pregnant got her dress from GoodOrient and fortunately, everything went good when the dress arrived.

If you want to pretend that you are a customer who has received great service from 'Good Orient' it is probably a little bit silly to describe yourself as the 'New Marketing Manager for Good Orient' in your forum description. You really haven't done yourself or the Company you work for any favours with this posting
