I think all this wedding planning is making me overthink things and possibly be blind to the obvious stuff. What would you as a guest expect from a wedding, no matter how broad or precise your expectations are, I would love to hear your point of view.

Receiving lines! They fill me with dread every time I'm in one, so much so I won't be having one. I definately don't want to be on the other side of it.

I hate it when there is a long wait between the service and the food. I think if this is going to be the case the meal time should be included in the invitation, that way people will make sure they have something substantial to eat before they go to the wedding.

Can I also add. I hate really long speeches, especially when you can't here them very well because the speaker is quiet or you ar placed too far away to hear.

I like a well thought out seating plan. Some weddings I have been to put you with people you don't know so that you get to mingle outside your circle of friends. Surely it should be up to me who I mingle with. I wouldn't go out with a group of friends to a pub and then when I get there we all split up and sit for hours with people I don't know and probably have little in common with.

Never been to one that has had this, but it does sound like my worst nightmare.
